CONSTRUCTION

Claims a crane operator from a Connecticut steel erection company. "We equip our framework erection team with an Earmark Crane System. The Earmark System permits clear back-and-forth conversation between team members. Communication enables quick and accurate beam movements. We no longer rely on hand signals. We provide the beam connector with a wireless Headset Radio. He tells the crane operator when the next beam is ready for placement and bolting. The crane operator receives the messages on a specially configured Base Station that mounts inside the crane cab. We also give the guy securing the crane hook to the beam a Headset. He tells the crane operator when to raise the beam. Because the team has constant voice contact, all the guesswork is taken out of the operation, even if they're 20 stories apart."

Three Connecticut construction companies use Earmark Crane systems at Adrian's Landing in Hartford (construction still ongoing)
