PRINTING

Says Dave Pollock, lead pressman for Heidelberg Harris. "At every DRUPA demonstration we illustrated the benefits of our four-unit, M3000TM Sunday Press to crowds of 2,000 people. Our fully operational press produced two, 12 page booklets - one in German, the other in English - at 200,000 copies per hour. When you’re running a press at 3,000 fpm, communication with your crew is vital. We used the Earmark Series 4 Headset radios to streamline our press operations."

"Earmark headsets allowed us to run the M-3000 at full speed in 98dB of noise and work hands-free. We pulled samples of the ‘Sunday Booklet’ for attendees, spliced paper rolls, and fine-tuned color and folder operations as a coordinated team. Continuous radio communication smoothed out the printing process, adding productivity and efficiency to our operations."

Application Tip

Preferred equipment for this application is the Simplex network of Earmark ValComm 900 (for distances less than 400 feet) or the  Series 4S headset (for longer distances),  forming a radio link between all of press workers, reducing waste significantly.
