The latest innovation
from Earmark is wLINK®, a wireless
interface for hard wired intercoms and
mobile radios. The wLink® system
consists of a base station which is
hard wired to the intercom or mobile
radio and a remote, wireless unit with
an easy to find large red push to talk
button. Teams no longer have to be
tethered to their communication
systems and can range freely through a
radius of 300 feet from the wLink®
repeater (depending on the
application). In addition, wLINK® can
remotely trigger the mobile radio
through a push to talk button so the
operator can communicate through the
radio.
As with all Earmark
products, wLINK® is extremely durable
and built to withstand harsh
environments and rough handling. The
thick walled polycarbonate case is
easily worn on your belt, with a strap
or in a pocket. It can be utilized
with a variety of Earmark headphones
including those providing superior
hearing protection. The remote unit is
powered by four NiMH batteries
providing in excess of 15 hours of
operation prior to recharging.
wLINK®
is ideal for emergency
vehicles. For example,
the pump panel operator on a
fire truck no longer needs to
be connected by a cord and can
move freely around the vehicle
as well as communicate through
the truck radio.
Marine
operators will find it
extremely useful with crewmen
having the ability to
communicate wirelessly with
bridge operations and also
speak through the marine
radio.
Aircraft
push back operations
are safer and greatly enhanced
by eliminating the long cord
connected to the plane.
